Climate Coffee is building a more circular future for coffee—recovering energy from coffee waste to support controlled, indirect roasting through RocketRoast Technology.

The story
Most coffee follows a linear path: grow, roast, brew and discard. Climate Coffee is working to change that model. Its circular system recovers spent coffee grounds and chaff, prepares that material as a renewable thermal resource and uses the recovered energy to help roast future beans.
The coffee remains separated from the flame and combustion stream. Instead, heat is transferred indirectly and evenly—supporting greater control, protecting against scorching and keeping the bean’s origin, sweetness, acidity and complexity at the center of the cup.

ROCKETROAST TECHNOLOGY
Taste the bean—not the fuel.At a glance
The RocketRoast circle
Recover spent grounds and chaff from the local coffee stream.
Remove moisture so the recovered material becomes dependable fuel.
Transfer controlled thermal energy indirectly and evenly to green coffee.
Create biochar with potential for beneficial downstream applications.
Why it matters
Spent coffee material can be redirected from disposal and used for its remaining energy.
Separating beans from direct flame and combustion gases supports even development and repeatable profiles.
The process produces a stable carbon-rich material with potential value in soil, filtration and other applications.
For journalists & hosts
“Coffee should taste exceptional—and its production should leave the Earth better than we found it.”
